“Sinners”: A pulsating, scorching tale of blues & blood that invests in character before unleashing horror and is rewarded with fearsome performances. The metaphor makes for intriguing polemic as well as an intoxicating ride. Blockbuster entertainment superbly crafted & equally rewarding.

David Lynch was not only a masterful filmmaker but an artist of such striking and singular vision that his name now denotes a particular blend of haunting aesthetic and surrealist storytelling. His twisting dreamlike nightmares, punctuated with bursts of vibrant red, are unique and unforgettable.

The Sheik (USA, 1921).

Despite its ethnically insensitive and outdated plot, which wouldn't really be accepted nowadays, this film provides an opportunity to see Rudolph Valentino in action.

He was a good actor and, without typecasting and with a longer life, he'd flourish even more

People of #FilmSky. Let's get to know each other better. Let me know an actress you love in a performance you love, and I’ll reply with a performance by that same actress that I love.

Trauma, voicelessness, and the struggle to find healing are sensitively and deftly explored through powerfully expressive animation in “The Missing” from The Philippines. This is compassionate, creative cinema deserving Best International Film recognition at the Golden Globes & Academy Awards.
