"A doctor at the scene attempted to help the woman who was shot, but was kept away by federal agents. When an ambulance finally arrived, it was blocked from reaching her by law-enforcement vehicles, and paramedics had to reach her on foot. The woman has died." www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
There are many bads about what Trump got the military to do - but showing the complete corruption of the military (generals on down) is bad indeed! Insurrection Act here we come?

Come on - you know everyone was there for the first strike, Hegseth, Trump, Miller - this was their wet dream to imitate Obama - and you know when they found out guys had survived - they looked at Trump and he said "Finish them off"

Trump has been an abusive relationship with Putin so long he can't see that the reason Putin is applying his leverage so hard now on Ukraine is because it is fading away, Epstein files released and any other docs or videos the head of the KGB has are deniable due to what can now be generated with AI

The obvious legal remedy to Bovino's inability to follow orders from the judge is for her to require him to spend extensive time training with police dept in how to constitutionally engage with the people

At least today Trump realizes he can't run for a 3rd term - I had Barak Obama in the 3rd term presidential fantasy league - pretty sure that would've been a blow out - would've been fun to make that money on the new Truth Social prediction market 😂

Clearly our demented wanna be king decided to take a literal dump on the American people by tearing a hole in the white house (you can hear his whinny "i'll show them" and like a baby sticking out his tongue 😛). Wonder what monument he'll to try to kick next time the people rise up - and they will

At some point states will start using federal dollars they collect from people's paycheck to fund mandated fed programs, instead of turning it over to trump

The question is not should the Dems expand the court first thing Jan 2029, the question is whether they should add 4 or 6 members -- best would be 6. And make them: Beth Robinson, Mary Bonauto, Paul M. Smith, Patricia Cain and some youngsters: Sarah McBride and James Roesener

In a USG shutdown it seems the responsible thing for states to do would be to withhold workers taxes until it is resolved. And perhaps spend the money on USG responsibilities in the states (Medicaid, Medicare, health ins subsidies, etc)

Judge Breyer giving his best shot to stop Trump's Posse Commitatus violation -- the easiest part to follow is ppt slide where the military experts trained people and explicitly identified how they violated PCA storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The sooner Dems start filling these completely reasonable motions the more likely it will take when some official goes completely off the deep end - 1st get some impeachments in the house - maybe a trial in the Senate - but if its never tried, definitely will get nothing
Impeaching RFK for interfering with the science of medical care, Hegseth for treasonously posting operationally top secret info in the clear, Bondi dismissing cases of her brother's clients are all non-partisan bases for removal - Rep or Dem you do that kinda stuff and you're out on your ear

As someone with a little experience with AI, one thing I can say is that there is no way AI can replace people -- AI can be a useful tool (eg in my field a first drafter of code).
One area where it could be helpful is at the IRS helping auditors flagging high income fraudsters.

Interestingly coincidental Trump released his doctor's note saying how healthy he was right when people with clout were thinking -- wow this guy really is too unstable and will upend the world economy, let's take another look at the 25th amendment.
My bet: Trump out using 25th, not impeached

If the admin can't come up with way to facilitate return of people from El Salvador maybe Boasberg could have Gen Brown and Adm Franchetti run an operation with units they select from the US military to return them

Statewide special election in Louisiana on taxes, incarceration and limiting outside lawyers goes against Republicans (governor Landry faceplant). Maybe the speaker should check out what's going on at home? lailluminator.com/2025/03/29/l...

increasingly convinced that DOGE isn't so much an office of the white house or a federal advisory committee as much as it is a criminal organization in the RICO sense

But think civil Rico - easier standard, personal liability
