Man, they're abusing power all over the place. If only there was a Democratic Party to make an issue out of this

doesn't Navarro have a PhD? I'd love to see him sweeping some floors, because I'm pretty sure existing LLMs can churn out hackery at his level already.

I think the post 9/11 environment had something to do with that, and that's not where the vast majority of the country is living in -especially given <gestures wildly> everything else Trump has done/is doing. Torturing terrorists can be sold, 'torturing Home Depot day laborers'... not so much

I had my fill of Cowen around his "zero marginal product worker" schtick. His descent from 'economist who says interesting things' to 'guy who writes for the Free Press' is sad, on top of his interest in the virginity of movie stars.
Does FP not have editors to question this sort of thing?

Just like "jokes" about running for a third term

I always figure it's a tell how bad something is when these guys trot out Obama, a man who hasn't been in office for almost 9 years.

Does he have 50 votes in the Senate? Clearly he would be Trump's choice, but Trump doesn't want to lose, so the question is, "does Hasset have 50 votes in the Senate?".

I'd be skeptical of that

I remember when Schoomaker was brought in as Army CoS because no one else wanted it. His first act was to capitalize "Soldier". Same stupid energy.

'I don't understand why Congressional leaders here in the US are not louder, more outraged about what is happening, more willing to fight.'

Sort of an ever green statement this year

idk, I think if there's a turn down the blame allocates to the party in the White House. I don't think most voters blame governors when/if there's a turndown, especially when the governors can say "well, I did this good thing, but it was swamped by bad policies coming out of Washington".

Did an LLM write that? Especially the "that signals.... " sentence doesn't feel like it was written by a human who understands the context of the numbers in the article

5 stars. Compared to waiting for the bus in the cold ~30 years ago, being able to stay inside until the last minute on a cold winter day is amazing.

This reads like a transcription of a drunk uncle at thanksgiving

Textbook macro econ would like a word

That this clown wasn't in jail after January 6th is a huge failure we're going to be dealing with for a long time
December 9, 2025 at 5:26 PM
The "88" is a nice touch
December 9, 2025 at 3:23 PM
I can hear long term nominal yields rising from here
December 9, 2025 at 3:17 PM
Really, @npr.org we're still doing these stories? Congressional Republicans weren't willing to convict Trump weeks after he sent them scrambling for safe rooms during the most successful domestic terrorist attack in history. They had every opportunity to "push back" against Trump. This is nonsense
December 9, 2025 at 12:17 PM
But what about as House of the Dragon characters? I'd read that click bait.
December 8, 2025 at 7:47 PM
It's still sad one of the best Saturn games was a free disc with a magazine that was a dressed up one level demo of one of the other best Saturn games.

If only a game like Sonic Galactic had existed for the Saturn in the mid-90's
December 7, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Did Miller write that? That's disgusting
December 5, 2025 at 12:37 PM
Oh, if you think Alito would be consistent with his arguments as opposed to his outcomes, I have a bridge to sell you.
December 4, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Why not both?
December 3, 2025 at 1:18 PM
I think the marginal value of other aspects would be relevant? sort of like how people are willingly listening to vinyl records today instead of higher quality digital audio.
