You’d be surprised! 25 is a pretty deadly full-speed crash in a lot of cases. Reaction time gets the energy down a lot to make for more minor collisions. But still.

Just like there is no good “workplace safety record” that involves deaths, there is no jurisdiction that has a good record for driving if people are regularly dying in any fashion.

The most unsettling part is that we’re all adults here, and we can see this clearly and the electeds seem to be in fantasy-land. Are they lying? Are they hopelessly tuned out of the fact that murdering and beating up people is a political project for the law enforcement class, at-work and beyond?

Forget the politics of fascism for a second. This setup doesn’t work governmentally. I don’t want to elect leaders who send violent armies full of bigoted oafs to help me in emergencies and legal quandaries. That doesn’t mean I’m going to elect Republicans, but I’ll sure vote against in primaries

It also is one of the most dangerous.l crashes for auto occupants, and routinely fatal for sedan/car drivers struck from the side by truck-body vehicles going at a moderate speed.
