I like it, but it does just seem like Paul Magrs is just rehashing stuff from The Scarlet Empress with 5 instead of 8. Anthony Head is wonderfully camp in this one, and Katy Manning is a perfect fit for Iris Wildthyme. It's good but loses points for its lack of originality. 7/10.

I think I might have developed stockholm syndrome for this one. I've heard it a lot and hated it each time, except for this last listen. Send help. 6/10. (Would've been 3/10 before).

A story where the Doctor proves he is three steps ahead of the villain the entire time right at the end and if you've never heard it, you don't see it coming, unless, of course, I just spoiled it for you. Solid. 7/10.

Fun, fluffy Christmas special that doesn't actually shove Christmas down your throat. A good listen for the holidays. 7/10.

I love a good story that explores the past of Traken. Kwundaar is also a fantastic adversary, Davison also gets some really awesome stuff to do throughout, and I love how this sort of sets up 7's eventual battles with the Old Ones. Really solid. 8/10.

Another good psuedo-historical, featuring David Tennant as a really creepy nazi, the secondary antagonist. Actually, it's Ace's b-plot about being trapped in Colditz with him that makes this one shine. I'm not big on the A-plot, though. The Doc dying in the future thing is tired. 7/10.

I quite enjoyed this one this time around. It's a cool psuedo-historical and taking a pharaoh lost to History on as companion is a bold move. It's audioscape is also really impressive, the sound work is great! 7/10.

This one's grown on me a lot over the years. It's dingy and grim. Nimrod is an antagonist straight out of a slasher and the twist part way through that he is on the better of the two opposing sides in this story is a gut punch to end all gut punches. It good. 7/10.

This one's got a really good reputation and by all rights, I Should have a high opinion of it too. I'm really not sure what about it makes it so hard for me to get into. The concept's great, the performers are all great... idk I want to like it more than I do. 6/10.

I didn't love this one on relisten as much as I did the first time around. Geoffrey Beavers is definitely the best thing about it and the score is brilliant too. I just think it suffers from that old Spider-Man 3 issue of too many villains. It's a bit of a clusterfuck. 6 or 7/10.

This one scratches a similar itch to Stones of Venice for me, but even harder. Great stuff with Turlough and a really sad one-sided romance with the Doctor that isn't played for laughs. Also plays with spiritualism and remixes historical incidents in interesting ways. Solid 8/10.
