And, we aren’t the only ones who think this is worth sharing 🎥 To mark this important step in the fight against ovarian cancer, a crew from hashtag#DR1 came to visit our labs, to learn more and capture some exciting footage to share this news with the world this week.

We are proud to share that Assistant Professor Wojciech Senkowski @wojtsen.bsky.social from Professor Krister Wennerberg’s lab has developed methods to culture ovarian cancer organoids in the lab, using samples collected from patient biopsy tissue.

Ovarian cancer is responsible for the deaths of over 200,000 women per year, and the diagnosis rate is expected to increase over the next 25 years. To address this challenge, researchers need better ways to study this important disease in the lab.

We had our first BRIC Day! 🚀

A fantastic poster session where we explored the diverse research projects at @bric-ucph.bsky.social and discovered what drives our colleagues to come to the lab every day.

Science thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and shared passion—this event was all about that!
