Movie you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

That was my choice last time. Masterpiece.

That tells me that is a horrible person. Even if it's "against their religion,", to start from that and end with kicking your kid out of your life; that's some fucked up priorities. "I'd rather be seen by my peer group as on the 'right side' than actually care for and care about my own child."
December 7, 2025 at 8:05 PM
First: Good for you!

Second: I cannot understand, even if one rejects the (well studied and understood) aspects of gender dysphoria or gender fluidity, to come to the decision to reject your child over it.

It would be one thing to not understand, to even resist. Bad even, But to kick them out?

Not only is it not morally ambiguous, it is also not ambiguous in what occurs in the film.

What this person must mean is that the bad guy getting away bugs him.

It is not ambiguous that he is bad.

The actual as is neither, but "Marvin, I Love You."

The actual answer

"Marvin I love You"

I very rarely hate movies that I see. I tend to have good radar for avoiding things I won't like and I also have broad tastes. I'm also pretty forgiving if I can see what a movie was going for and judge it on those terms.

This is one that slipped through. I felt actually offended by the stupidity.

I put Costello and TMBG on there because they are the acts I have seen the most times.

Peter Gabriel was my first big concert (and I've seen him a few times and he's very representative for me)

Pylon for a specific experience

Los Straightjackets for something offbeat

Mission accomplished!

Ah, I was hoping you'd gotten the bug. There are ways to optimize an FDM mini print but it will never be as good as resin.
November 25, 2025 at 2:53 PM
You 3D print this?
November 25, 2025 at 12:18 PM
What you DID do has been fantastic.

Yeah pretty sure this is a new phenomenon.

Academia embraces the web but this seems to be pushing it.

I left academia in 94, but there was a ton of interest in the proto WWW, mostly for sharing research. Gopher, ftp, Archie, and the very first iterations of the Web were all grabbed onto quickly, at least by the tech savvy.

...but I doubt it's anything like AI-mania. And also no uncritically.

I've felt this way about Revolver since my teens and am glad it's becoming more the majority view. But Pepper is still something special IMHO (as is Magical Mystery Tour, but that's a hill I fight on close to alone).
