This afternoon, the preschooler who refused a nap had an absolute meltdown on the sidewalk, wailing “I don’t like that they took 2 o’clock! I want it back.”

And really, same kid. Same.

As the parent of a preschooler who walks/rides her bike a mile to school every day (with me walking along side of course) across an arterial with expressway on and off-ramps, too much of this article rings true. www.chicagotribune.com/2025/01/13/c...

Feeling like maybe we shouldn’t have taught the toddler about poison dart frogs? “No mama, you can’t pick me up, I’m poisonous!” As we try to get ready for daycare.

In related news I have invisible protective poison proof gloves now.
