Just three league fixtures for Bridgend Ladies this week. Our 1st XI are playing Abergavenny 1st XI at Crickhowell, 11 am. Our 2nd XI are taking on Penarth 4th XI at Stanwell School, 11 am. Our 3rd XI are at home to take on Whitchurch 6th XI at 11.30 am.

The 2nd XI took on the students amidst high winds, making challenging conditions. An early goal from Faith but Cardiff equalised meaning the first half ended 1-1. Despite attempts from both sides there were no further goals in the second half, meaning the game ended in a 1-1 draw

Our 1st XI welcomed Saints 4th XI for their 2nd league fixture of the season. With goals from Vic, Claire and Sian, Bridgend took all three points, with a final score of 3–0. Dude of the Day was Leo, and Player of the Match went to Gracie. Many thanks to our Sponsor wepa.

A fab game in the 4th/5th league cup for our 3rd XI against Llan Valleys. Two goals for Lauren, one for Faith and a penalty flick cooly slotted in by Amy gave BLHC a 4-0 win and on to the next phase of the cup. Well done all a great team performance

Many thanks to Cardiff Met for a great U16 match today at home. It was a fantastic match ending in a 6-0 win to Bridgend. Many thanks for lending us two players and for umpiring. It was a lovely morning of hockey.

Our 1st XI take on Whitchurch 4th XI on Saturday at 11:30 am.

The 2nd XI take on Cardiff University 6th XI at 12:30 am on Saturday.

Our 3rd XI take on Howardian 4th XI at 10am Saturday. Then on Sunday Llan Valleys in the 4th/5th League Cup at 12pm.

A great start in the league for our 1st XI, who travelled up to Llandrindod Wells to take on Presteigne. A great battle from both sides but Bridgend came away with all three points and meant all of our squads bagged wins on Saturday 🙌🏻

Our 2nd XI faced their second double header weekend in a row, this time against Clwb Hoci Emlyn from Division 1 in the Hockey Wales cup. We battled away but the final score was 3-1 to Emlyn.

Yesterday the 2nd XI started the league against Chepstow. Two goals in the first half and four in the second, saw the final score ending 6-1 to BLHC.A wonderful start to the league for the 2nd XI. Thank you to all those who came out in support & to Chepstow for a great game.

Our U14s travelled to Swansea for a tournament in the beautiful sunshine. For some of the girls it was their first time representing Bridgend Ladies and their very first tournament. They all did themselves proud, well done U14s👏

The 3rd XI were on the road this week for their first league game of the season against Gowerton Ladies 2nd XI. Four great goals from Maia, Charlie, Darija and Lucy meant we took all three points. A fantastic way to start the season 💪🏻

Our 2nd XI have two fixtures this weekend. Saturday against Chepstow and Caldicot, pushback is at 11.30 am. Then on Sunday against Castell Newydd Emlyn at 12pm in the cup.

BLHC 2s travelled to Cwmbran to face Gwent 3/4s today for their 2nd friendly game this weekend. Two goals in the 1st half and three in the 2nd, all scored by Claire, left the final score 5-1 to Bridgend and a second win of the weekend! Thank you Gwent for the game.
