I'm so sorry. I made a pair for my father once - to his exact specifications. They disappeared, never to be seen again ... We don't talk about the disappearance of the Christmas 1985 aran sweater, made from a pattern purchased in Dublin.

The pink and orange is an unplied heavy lace, but makes great socks; the blue and silver is a superwash merino.

Thanks! It's actually knitting; tatting uses different tools and creates a different kind of fabric. At this stage though, it doesn't look like much. Once it's done, it will be blocked aggressively to open the lace up and make the patterns more visible.
