Who would have thought it that running councils is actually quite tough. After 14 years of austerity there really is nothing left to cut.

No doubt that seat targeting did help secure a landslide however this was much too prescriptive with more trust in CLP’s and their membership another 20 or 30 seats could have been won. Starving non target seats of resources was neither clever or productive

I have always found Mandelson to be a self important slime ball but his appointment to grovel to Trump did make some sense. But of course this depended on his ability to be honest when answering due diligence questions….
