My mom worked at newspaper on night shift. She'd get off work and have guys follow her to her car. This was in 1950s in Oklahoma City. So I've tried to be aware of that.

So maybe a good place to bring this up. Work downtown and often leave around 9pm. Walking to parking lot I'm often walking same direction as women. They seem worried I'm a creeper.
I have stopped and said Hey, I'm just walking to my car. I'll hang back so you're not threatened.
Ok or creepier?
