I remember that moment solely because SNL did a skit about it 😂

Trump is so fragile

Maybe folks will catch on to the common denominator in why the Green Party failed to grow. A single seat is not an act of rebellion, it’s a declaration of irrelevance.

I sincerely hope she conducts herself with more civility than she did in the campaign.

It is insane. The party picked up momentum when they advertised less of him. I genuinely don’t think he has the support to lead any longer. He’ll be like every other leader that is forced out. Real question is: if another nutter gets picked, will progressive conservatives cut the line and separate

Absolutely! Lots to have learned and taken away from this election. I’m just relieved (vote split or not) progressives out weigh regressives. Lots of work to do!

Sites like 338 and smart vote became used less like tools and more like the rule of law in guiding voters. It did not work in every riding. We still need to apply critical thought & conversation to follow what we believe is best. Computers/technology are tools they cannot become the decision-makers

We’ll obviously never know but I wonder if we were less reliant on the comfort or excitement of a projection and more reliant to talking to people about platforms and what’s important to us as voters if we could find greater consensus to guide our votes.

It was repeated across the entire election:

Every vote counts.
Every riding matters.

And yet, people repeatedly said, 1 or 2 seats for X party isn’t going to make the difference… the polls say…

People let a computer projection guide their vote and I hope they strongly reflect on that decision

You’re an absolute legend. Jim, thank you so much for this breakdown. I’m going to drag my family to dim sum this weekend 🫶

Agreed! We all have an equal voice when it comes to voting and I believe there are more kind Canadians looking to exude compassion as values to continue than there are the right-wing Trump wannabes. Most people keep their heads down and get it done because honestly, conflict is uncomfortable lol

Is it worth saving for the next visit to Vancouver or are our local options adequate? Reddit seemed split. Anything in particular that’s worth knowing ahead of a visit regarding ordering etc? What’s a you can’t miss item? Thank you for your help!
