And I see other people do this too but I think it’s a really fraught and sensitive time for people so I’m kinda letting that have its space but I do get sad seeing people metaphorically taking up arms with one another.

Tyyy carol! I try really hard to always approach my thoughts in an academic way even if they’re coated in internet language and bad grammar 🤣 because if I’m sharing a thought I should try to back up and explain why I think it so people can understand where it’s coming from!

I might have bias but I try to always be nuanced and fair. And I think a lot of people do. If you think they’re being too biased or unfair it’s okay to engage them directly about that instead of viewing it as an attack or sub posting or whatever, yknow?

Art is subjective and even if I don’t like it doesn’t mean there’s isn’t someone who finds valid enjoyment and entertainment and catharsis in it. But I will never like her for many valid reasons and that’s okay too!

So when I critique anything it’s never coming from an unfair place

For example- I have always been a very critical person re: TS. I’ve never been a big fan and I think there’s a lot of valid criticism of her, both her art and the politics and economics around her career. But this is never me shaming people who enjoy her music.

Oops thought of something to say as I tucked myself in: I wish people viewed fair criticism of things (not just BB but literally just things in media) as what it is: fair and intellectual critique. It’s not a personal attack on the people who like it.

i prefer traitors wins when theres a good player as a traitor but tbh its so thrilling when you get the best player as a faithful and they pull the win. ive only seen it a couple times but its SO good.

OK RIGHT cause i did a lot of mla for english classes but apa for my education classes and then chicago for my history minor (was a music education student before just doing music performance which is my alley anyway) and i just like lit classes.
