Books. Occasionally movies. Sometimes hockey. Museums and interesting things.

I also like board games and The Sims 4 but don't expect me to write about it.

I want to write a fic where everyone around Ilya talks about his transfer and he is like "what the fuck is transfer? My contact was done, I signed with Ottawa. The only transfer is money transfer from Ottawa to my bank".

Once again wondering whether imdb and wiki are not allowed in other people countries. Based on their comments, looks like it.

The weirdest thing this show made me do is listen to music in french on repeat.

Dear ao3, please create the option of blocking the fics that use the word "transfer"
It is called a game, not a match.
It is called practice, not training.
And ffs, there is not such thing as transfer in hockey.

I am that particular age that Running Up That Hill is first and foremost Placebo's song for me.

People should not be allowed to discuss tv without basic tv literacy.

Talking about favorite Lady Gaga's songs, mine is Dance In the Dark, I had it as my ringtone for about a year fifteen years ago.

Do people even know what easter eggs are? Looks like they don't.
"What a fun easter egg, a thing in one episode that ties to a thing in another episode (of the same show)". Baby, this is called screenplay.

More true than ever.

I can forgive spelling mistakes in fics (well, not forgive, but at least I can sigh and continue reading) but misspelling main characters names? Nope.

Boring can mean dependable and a constant and something that is always there, right? Boring is the opposite of unexpected. And some people have experiences and backgrounds where unexpected is bad. Is unsafe.

Read some RPF about certain people and now I am a bit uncomfortable watching them. Never thought this would happen!

Bought 8 books in the last 10 weeks. And the weirdest thing is that I have already read one of them since then!

I miss the kind of fantasy books I have been reading in the late 90s. They were suitable for teens but they weren't "teen fantasy". And there was some romance but it was never the main (or even secondary) plot.
And now I've read 3 books of the Raksura series by Martha Wells and yes! Just like that!

If people use "the Mandela effect" to mean "what I personally believed in" one more time, I swear to God, I am gonna call them dumb.
Oh, who am I kidding. Didn't wait for the next time. It's just that this person also called it "mandala effect". That was the last straw. Though I didn't say "dumb"!

Allowing yourself to be mediocre (at best) at some of your hobbies is hard.

Probably Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when I was eight. I thought it was great and loved everything and rewatched it a few times but then after a long time I watched it when I was probably 20 and was creeped out by a lot of things there.
okay as we’re all discussing it I’ll ask: what inappropriate-for-your-age-group film did you watch as a kid?

mine was Terminator when I was 10 or so which was a) brilliant but b) gave me a lifelong revulsion of stop motion

Twenty years ago when I was working in a supermarket, I sold our famous tv show host/actor (still famous in my country) diapers for his (then) newborn baby. Still the first thing I remember when I hear his name.

what's the most random interaction you've ever had with a celebrity?

Reading fics set in medieval setting written by people who have zero knowledge about medieval setting is a torture.

Putting "pin please" in your comment (and nothing else) hoping to get pinned under some youtuber's video is kinda pathetic.

Not a lot of things can hurt as much as songs you used to listen to when you were twenty.
I literarily had to put my hand on my stomach because it felt like I was stabbed.

Also, today I thought of making an account on letterbox but then I realised I can't be casual in anything - I thought "I would have to beat everything in competitive letterboxing, wouldn't I?", and so I decided not to make an account.

A Working Man was so terrible it deserves a post.
I won the tickets in a movie/tv shows quiz yesterday so at least I didn't have to pay but even then.
Why would anyone film something like this in 2025? The story was simple, but it was made worse by illogical behaviour and horrendous dialogues.
