What happened to Starmer saying he'd scrap the Lords? 🤔🤔

Which means probably not

By 'we' I meant the population of countries all over the world, not just the UK.

I agree that we can't control what Israel decides to do but we can choose to not help them

Goodnight, it's been good chatting to you as well. I hope you can see that I'm not some kind of bad person
December 1, 2025 at 1:32 AM
I don't support what happened on October 7th, I agree with you on that
December 1, 2025 at 1:30 AM
If it happened as you described then I don't support that but I'm not gonna supporting a whole movement because of the actions of one person

Can you imagine if we treated Westminster like that? There are certainly some dodgy MPs but not all are
December 1, 2025 at 1:28 AM
2/2 Will that stop the genocide? No but all any of us can do is our bit

If we all did that then it would stop

We can't force others to take action. We can only use our own agency in the best way we can
December 1, 2025 at 1:22 AM
1/2 No-one producing those weapons is innocent

Palestine Action have destroyed drones which then couldn't be used to kill civilians.

They've attacked Israeli weapons factories to the extent that they've lost contracts which will in a small way make it harder for the IDF to continue
December 1, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Yes, I support Palestine Action

Aid is great but it won't stop weapons produced in the UK from killing civilians many of whom are children

Struggles throughout history are won via a diversity of tactics
December 1, 2025 at 1:16 AM
and in that struggle the police officer might get hurt.

I struggle to have sympathy because I'd rather resign than try to arrest people doing what they can to stop the UK facilitating what is happening in Palestine

At some point, following orders isn't an excuse
December 1, 2025 at 1:11 AM
We didn't invade Palestine, we just enabled the people who have

Sometimes the ends do justify the means. As I said, my line is violence towards people but if a police officer or security guard tries to grab hold of say a sledgehammer then it shouldn't surprise anyone that there might be a struggle
December 1, 2025 at 1:09 AM
2 potentially violent incidents amongst over 100 protests.... that's not a pattern of violence

I think that's the consequence of our country aiding a genocide. I support people trying to put an end to that. I salute them.
December 1, 2025 at 1:07 AM
I don't care about the government's definition of terrorism. It's legislation created to aid the government in dictating which organisations are or aren't allowed

It's dystopian

It's also why I don't think I'll ever vote Labour again. 1st Iraq, now Palestine
December 1, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Does it? How many protests have they done and how many involved someone getting injured?

If it's just the 2 you mentioned then their pattern of behaviour is that they're a non-violent organisation
December 1, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Palestine Action have done tons of protests and the media will shine a spotlight on the one or two that paint them in a bad light
December 1, 2025 at 12:51 AM
I don't know the details so difficult for me to have an opinion on it

Court charges often don't show the real story

For example I was charged with Criminal Damage once and the prosecution claimed I damaged the water in a fountain by dyeing it with fountain dye
December 1, 2025 at 12:49 AM
As I said, I don't support that incident but I also don't know the details to have a full opinion.

The media often don't give a full picture

I wouldn't be surprised if the officer tried to grab the sledgehammer which caused a struggle. We just don't know
December 1, 2025 at 12:43 AM
But yes, I've lost so much faith in Labour because I have a completely different economic philosophy and I hate what they are enabling in Palestine so I struggle to remember the positive things sometimes
November 30, 2025 at 10:54 PM
I am glad they've achieved some positive things

No more section 21 and a decent amount renters rights
Scrap the 2 child cap(although they should have done it ages ago
Mansion tax(even if it's barely anything

They could still be doing so much more
November 30, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Not always, i don't believe in hurting innocent people
November 30, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Lmao was that a serious question? No lol because I have nothing to do with planning Palestine Action protests

Thanks for making me laugh though xD
