County recorders will get sent a WiP file once as many records as possible are in the system and assessed. A good number of 2025 submissions are coming in already, which is very pleasing and definitely makes things easier for us. Thank you!
The final missing records file is now available at: www.britishbirds.co.uk/rarities-com... If you see a record on here that is yours, please do consider submitting it to us. The deadline for 2024 submissions for inclusion in the next annual report is 25th May #RareBirdsUK
The updated missing records file is now at britishbirds.co.uk/rarities-com... Please do have a look and consider submitting anything you were involved in finding #UKBirding#RareBirdsUK
We have updated our missing records file again, please do have a look to see if you can help us by submitting outstanding rarities from 2024 (and a few notables from 2023). We aim to put out an updated version of this every 2-3 weeks until report time #RareBirdsUK britishbirds.co.uk/rarities-com...
I should have added, could finders please submit to me via email, secretaryATbbrc.org.uk, and if you can use the form at www.britishbirds.co.uk/rarities-com... it makes life so much easier, thanks. If the form doesn't work for you, just pop important details in an email.
Blast from the past, we are looking for submissions of the 2018-19 Pied Crow. We already have submissions for Easington, Clevedon & Kent, but it would be great to fill in as many gaps as possible with observers and proof of occurrence in proper submissions. Thanks. #RareBirdsUK
We have recently uploaded a list of missing records we would be very grateful to receive submissions for. Note that some have already been submitted since this went live a few days ago, thank you to those quick off the mark. britishbirds.co.uk/rarities-com...
3/3 The next vacancy will be during this coming summer, so ideally we would have nominations in by mid-February ready for our AGM at the end of Feb. Thanks.
2/3 nominating someone you know. This does not replace the existing procedure, but we hope will add to it and alert us to more potential committee members. The form is at: docs.google.com/forms/d/11kf...
1/3 As detailed in the latest BBRC report (Dec issue of British Birds), we are trialling a new way of seeking new BBRC members. If you are interested in joining BBRC, or know someone who may be interested, we have put a google form online to complete. This can be a self-nomination or it could be...
We're now on Bluesky! Unfortunately the BBRC handle was already taken... The 2023 BBRC report is finally here, available to all subscribers at britishbirds.co.uk/issue-pdf/9044 now, and dropping through letterboxes next week.
