Annoying leftist that hyperfixates on DC Comics, Dragon Quest, Pokémon, and cats. She/her
I'm having a really hard time juggling all three of these. I'm normally a one-game-at-a-time kinda person.

Basically, turn the situation into this.

As of right now, I no longer have to see one of these ever again for the rest of my life

Last day of work this week as a pretend-man. Then after that - the rest of my life.

Can't help but be deflated by the evidence he's seemingly not actually controllable, just a temporary NPC ally.

Just asked on a very active Dragon Quest discord and will report back if someone mentions anything.

Nobody can say it's the worst one anymore. It's official.

(That goes to VII still, but it very well may pawn that title off in February)

I still think the dwarves should look like this in every DQ game.

Serious answer: Probably not the best considering they're treating them as entirely seperate releases. But an update could help, that patch for III was night and day and it's still technically a Switch 1 game.

This trilogy's been real weird on the Nintendo side.

Truly sickening stuff

That's both cool gameplay-wise and utterly hostile to worldbuilding

I'll keep this one brief:

Essential reading.

Also knocked this off my backlog today. Very impressed by it. You can tell a lot of research went into making it feel authentically 1939-America and the choice to put such a spotlight on the plight of the jewish population during that period paid off really well, and was just a good call.

Wow. I had good feelings going into this, but I think Scott Snyder is now the master of tricking me into not waiting-for-the-trade. Great characterization, top notch humor, and multiple twists and turns I didn't see coming (and the one I did see happened very differently than I imagined).

It was pretty good, probably overhyped for me going in. Didn't vibe with the character designs (very "D&D OC that you can tell was made with porn in mind") and found the ending super rushed. Glad I can finally join the Jo Mullein fan club after years of this sitting on my backlog.
