Even through people value the benefits that new tech and scientific advances may bring, the survey shows that the public are sceptical about the benefits of AI, and they're concerned that the speed of developments may outpace consideration of risks and the ability of government to control them.

The first PAS since the pandemic has been funded by @ukri.org, delivered by @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social, and supported by the British Science Association. It offers insights into the concerns, attitudes, and aspirations of people across society today, and how these have changed over a generation.
