Moved into a place where the trees were giving off some fairly grumpy energy. It was winter and I was pregnant so I didn’t look at first, but they were covered in these thick parasitic poison ivy vines. The biggest I’d ever seen. I went and got gloves and a hatchet and the trees were so happy after.

I’ve been coming to this same conclusion in a strong way. Being knee deep in child-raising, book writing, and myth research has me convinced many of the ancient myths are just Santa, the boogeyman, or coping mechanisms.
