but my personal theory is that, because Latinos are on average both more conservative and more religious than Spaniards AND we can get citizenship after only 2 years of legal residence, it actively benefits VOX to not isolate Latin-American communities. They wouldn't give a fuck about us otherwise.

The reason they don't focus on immigration is because they say they're actually ""pro-immigration"" as long as it's only Latin Americans (so no Maghrebis, no Arabs, no people from Sub-Saharan Africa). They say it's because they want to "restore the Iberosphere", whatever that's supposed to mean, 1/2

Unfortunately, a lot of what VOX says reaches far-right politicians in Hispanic America, so I'm already familiar with them and their odd stance on immigration compared to other far-right euro parties.
