Absolutely disgusted listening to Stephen Jardine on BBC Scotland trot out BBC twosidisms, ending every allegation of #Genocide in Gaza with 'Israel denies it has committed Genocide" and 'the UK Government does not call it Genocide' ignoring that UK is legally required to act in case of Genocide.

This morning I have written to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice @angelaconstance.bsky.social MSP to register our concern over plans by the Home Secretary to provide new protest policing powers to police forces in England and Wales and to ascertain if the CabSec intends to mirror this in Scots law.

But violence in a different state and the mere potential for future escalation do not provide a colorable basis to invoke Section 12406(3). To accept Defendants’ arguments would be to render meaningless the extraordinary requirements of 10 U.S.C. § 12406 by allowing the President to federalize one state’s National Guard based on events in a different state or mere speculation about future events. In other words, violence elsewhere cannot support troop deployments here, and concern about hypothetical future conduct does not demonstrate a present inability to execute the laws using nonmilitary federal law enforcement.

TRO expires in fourteen days on October 18, 2025, and the parties are ORDERED to comply with the attached TRO. The Defendants' request to stay or administratively stay the Temporary Restraining Order, see Defendants' Opposition to Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining
Order, ECF 35 at 41, is DENIED.

The Russian drones operations reveal two things that Europeans seem unable to admit to themselves. The first is that they are unwilling/incapable of stopping these operations and seem helpless to keep them from multiplying. The second is that the US government doesnt care and will not help Europe.

Gyles Brandreth's daughter said, among other things, that the Chinese "don't care about reducing greenhouse gas emissions". In fact Xi Jinping is committed to cutting China's greenhouse gas emissions by 7-10% by 2035. 10% equates to 1.4bn tonnes a year, four times the UK's total annual emissions.
