Very welcome! At that magic level def stick to air spells. They are weak to air spells and trident would hit like a wet noodle.

Oh! And bring some kind of melee weapon for the tunnels to whack mobs. I think you want between 81 and 86 potential (that's off the top of my head)

If you have the cash, occult necklace is pretty cheap and a great upgrade. But you should mostly self sustain on rune costs, you'll just have to pay for prayer supplies & teleports. If you are 83 mage I suggest putting a portal in your house instead of buying tablets.

Okay as a main you can circumvent some of the annoyances. Buy a good chunk of barrows teleport tablets if you can afford it, they're kind of expensive, get casts for your best air spell (or a trident), and get a decent ranged weapon for ahrim. You'll need some ppots too unless you have medium CAs.

Soul wars 100% optional content. You can imbue through the emir's arena or NMZ. The former is much faster. Pretty hard to avoid berserker ring though, absolutely massive upgrade.
