Making good progress on the crochet Fronds Shawl using 2 hanks of Wild Sage Wool (DK weight). Just started the 2nd. This will be a shop sample for Red Hill Fiber .

I finished my crochet ribbed cowl over the weekend. Both the hat and the cowl are Cascade 220 wool but the cowl is merino so a bit softer.

The dollar store readers are on because I'm proofing the winter 2026 catalog at work.

2-ply cormo wool yarn spun on my Electric Eel Wheel 6.

Tomorrow I'll start plying these two bobbins of cormo wool onto a third.

Last night I stayed up late spinning cormo wool on my Harris Spinner and watching YouTube videos. My cats were intrigued by the large bag of wool I brought home from @redhillfiber . I intentionally spun the wool imperfectly, thick & thin, letting if draft as it wanted to.

Stayed up late following a watercolor style snowman Procreate tutorial by @floortjesart - pretty happy with the results.

Yarn: Red Hill Fiber DK Targhee wool in "Candy Queen"
November 13, 2025 at 5:03 PM
New spiral crochet hat in progress - for me, not a shop sample. I'm using a size F hook with this DK yarn from Red Hill Fiber - 100% Targhee wool in the colorway "Candy Queen." I bought 2 hanks, so if the hat only uses one I'll make matching fingerless mitts or a cowl.

I had some PTO to use before my anniversary date and used it to measure warps and start some kitchen towels as gifts. I'm using Peaches & Creme yarns in the warp and weft, an 8 dent heddle on my 24" rigid heddle loom. I also took it to my LYS yesterday to weave during their Yarn Crawl.

My hank of merino yarn is mostly dry - I gave it a soak in hot water yesterday after plying then winding it onto my umbrella swift.

Yesterday was the final day of #TourDeFleece and I'm so happy with how this yarn turned out.

Plying is finished. You can see that the last part I plied, which was the first part I spun plied against itself, is thicker than the rest. If I were spinning for a specific project, it would be helpful to keep a sample, to compare against as I spin, to stay consistent.

Tonight I spun on my bed while finishing the audiobook "Becoming Madam Secretary" by Stephanie Dray.

I found Frances Perkins' story absolutely fascinating and inspiring, in particular her shepherding Social Security into existence and breaking several glass ceilings for women.

More #TourDeFleece spinning progress on the EEW6. I love watching the colors blend and change as I draft out the fiber from the ball and it winds in layers onto the bobbin.

This week of #TourDeFleece I've been spinning a rainbow braid of #MerinoWool on my #ElectricEelWheel6.

Quick crochet project - a headband using Coboo yarn and a hair elastic. Planning on making more with different yarns and stitch combinations (this was all single crochet).

Yesterday I started this crochet shawl, using the thick & thin wool yarn I spun from the Red Lion Dry Goods farmhouse blend roving.

I finished the first 2 hanks yesterday. I took the 3rd hank to @redhillfiber 's weekly Fiber Friends and finished it there - Lindsey took the photo for me.

The Farmhouse yarns are nearly dry (just slightly damp at the bottom). The close-up photos are more color accurate.

My finished stealth log cabin scarf (since I didn't use 2 solid yarns the pattern is somewhat obscured). I used wool yarns from @redhillfiber and also found my axe shawl pin there. I plan to crochet an ear warmer with leftover yarn to coordinate.

Tonight I followed another tutorial by @floortjesart to create this mandala. I love the gradient effect on the black background.

Finished Moorland Puff Stitch Hat using a hank of @wildsagewool DK. I had to shorten it a few rounds. I'll weave in the ends tomorrow before dropping it off at @redhillfiber . Aren't the colors @indigoguineafiber chose for this yarn lovely?

Tonight I followed the Cute Fox tutorial by @floortjesart . It's really interesting how some of the digital brushes really act like they're pushing around the paint. I cleaned up the edges of my fox's ears with the Turpentine brush as an eraser.
