Despite having one of the worst months of my life, I still managed to pull a #NaNoWriMo out of a bag! 🎊🎉

Admittedly the story's not over yet, but I'm looking forward to putting altogether less pressure on myself to write "enough" words per day to meet a goal (or stay ahead of one).

They need a king they can believe in.” It’s reassuring to hear the king so lively. “We need a king who’ll survive to win the damn war,” Garrett shoots back. “Cadwell says it’s the carriage, or you’re going back to sleep until tomorrow.” “Don’t,” King William says sharply, hard enough even Kate startles. Much more quietly, he says, “The nightmares were – vivid. They always are after I use it. I don’t want to sleep again.” After a beat, Garrett snorts. “What, ever?” But he’s softer, calmer. “What about a wagon?” the king says. “Put me in the back of an open wagon.” “With a special order of hay bales in case you topple over.” “You’re in rare form this morning.” “Someone’s had to keep your government running.”
