I find myself thinking, “Is this legal? This can’t be legal! Isn’t there some kind of approval process for White House renovations? Isn’t it designated an historical building?” Seriously, how is it possible he can just do this?

Mr. Trump is, willy-nilly, destroying the people’s house as if he owns it. It is unconscionable. It is demonstrably arrogant. It is demoralizing. We all know he hasn’t no respect for history, tradition, norms or common decency. To see it on display so overtly is jarring.
