The ZX issue had some unusual changes but were still well-executed while keeping it faithful to the original game. Also, best move by the writers to have Vent as a main character instead of Aile.

The Mega Man X issue perfectly sets up the events of the first SNES game and shows the context of why X was sent to the Highway Stage for him to navigate. I also love how they used Vile's original Japanese name instead of his English name. Unexpected but great choice.
