The heavy mist almost fog didn’t stop me walking this morning, although I needed to pat the neighbour’s dog first as she came over to say good morning. She has her walk a little bit later, especially when the grass is wet. 🌿🐕👋🏽😀

The Federal Government funds 71% of every spit hood put on an Aboriginal child in the NT. It's time to ensure Federal Funding comes with conditions including complying with human rights law!

Time changes everything. This area along my neighbourhood creek generally floods every January & February, and then within months the spiders, little lizards, small goannas, snakes, bees, possums, ducks, finches, & other birds, all come back & the trees & shrubs look lush & fabulous. 🌱🌿👋🏽😀

Lillies in mum’s garden. All the different colours are now out & looking great! Everyone in my family is also cautious walking around in the yard & laundry after seeing a red-bellied black snake off & on over the last few days. We’ve all lost dogs to them over the decades. 🌺🐍👋🏽😀

I got bedazzled by the beauty in the garden shop, inc by the orchids. I thought of my mum when I saw them, because she likes them. Have a lovely day wherever you are & whatever you’re doing today! 🌸👋🏽😀

I went to the garden shop early & enjoyed just looking around. Ahh Spring!! I got my new garden hose attachment because the other one broke. I don’t throw much away & instead fix, reuse & recycle etc but when something breaks & can’t be repaired, I buy a new or secondhand one.

When driving I have to regularly stop for other cars, bikes, scooters, trucks and pedestrians, but recently, I had to stop for a steam train. 🚂👋🏽😀

So sweet! So perfect! So lovely! I spotted this hibiscus growing in an office block carpark in West End/South Brisbane late yesterday afternoon. They’ll grow almost anywhere in the right climate & always produce beautiful flowers! 🌸👋🏽😀

Some gorgeousness from me for you all today. These are some of the geranium flowers in my garden. I love their boldness & brightness. The days I work from home I open my curtains & blinds so I can see them from my desk.

In the 50+ years I’ve walked past Brisbane’s City Hall, I don’t recall ever noticing the Art Deco style lights on the front facade. I don’t know if the spikes are part of the original fixtures or if they were added to keep the birds away. Either way, they’re kinda cool lights.

University of Technology Sydney ordered a spreadsheet from KPMG targeting individual academics by research income, which might contravene the bargaining agreement. They repeatedly denied it even existed for several info requests. But that wasn't true. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/educati...

My grandfather gave this orchid to my mum & my dad put it lower down in this tree than the other orchids in the other trees. This orchid produces only a few flowers, which hang down, making them easier for my mum to see & or pick for the kitchen table or to wear. 🌸👋🏽😀
