Love all these proposals, but just gotta say: I was on extremely crowded Bronx 12 buses today and I was one of about 5% who actually paid. So there's that.

OOh, that Q expansion and 12 Bronx Express would be so sweet for thousands of Bronx and Upper Manhattan folks like me.

Telemundo and Univision have been showing the Noem commercials since April, especially during the news shows. $200 million dollar ad campaign promoting "self deportation" that we are paying for.

Me too. Notice the end of the editorial taking a dig at Mamdani's warmth of collectivism. They are so obsessed with him. Adam O'Neil, the millennial editorial page editor, started out writing editorials for the WSJ, and has made the Post page even worse than the WSJ page. Sad.

This shows how much he understands NYC. There really is an absurd budget dance every few years with the NYPL funding. Budget is cut, hours open get reduced, then sometimes restored during election years. And all for a relative drop in the bucket.

What statements? In a media environment where he has been so caricatured and lied about, it's really unfair to refer to his "statements" without being specific. And he is very explicit in what he wants to do to combat antisemitism.

I suffered through the article and she actually said "But things like immigration, where I feel like we’re spending a lot of money to ship people back to countries and they’re taxpayers and they’re members of our community and constitutional rights are being violated — that’s a mess."

You end with: "There is also the fact that most people no longer seem to believe in a happy future,” the pope wrote. Aw, Your Holiness, is that really a fact? It really feels like things are starting to get a little better, and may be on path to get a lot better. Have faith." 2015, eh?

Living in a household where Univision is pretty much always on, I have noticed a shift in the last few weeks, at least on the nightly news broadcast. Daily stories of immigrants living in fear. Huge tone shift from before and just after the election.

Just today I happened upon channel 1650, CinePast, on Samsung. They were showing the original Nosferatu. Right now they're showing the original Phantom of the Opera. They had an ad in German for schnitzels!
