A frosty morning in the back garden.

The Cold Path.
A frosty morning caught on my iPhone. It was one of those mornings where I wish I were able to simply stop and spend time enjoying the light. But work called.

Puddle by the shops.

iPhone shot in B&W. The iPhone processing does a lot of work and presents a more 'finished' image than the RAW file I usually use.

Reflected Glory. I love stepping out of house to see what I'm offered. This particular morning was dramatic and so I allowed that to influence my editing.

Photography is about looking and seeing.
I never know what I'm going to find. A walk into Walton and this was on the footpath. Not place, not moved.
Any thoughts on what animal it belongs to?

I don't always carry my camera, but I always have a camera. This is from my iPhone (shot in B&W).

Another Straight Out Of Camera #sooc shot. I am fascinated by footpaths and especially by those where houses back onto them. There's a great one locally. This is another unretouched shot.

The Winding Path. Two version. The first is #sooc with sharpening. The second has some curve adjustments, along with brightness and contrast. No cleaning up, cropping or other adjustments.

Yesterday I did a familiar six mile walk and took my camera and my 23mm lens (35mm equivalent). I decided to use only the JPEG output and not the RAW and this is SOOC. Only mild sharpening, but nothing else. I'll post more of these over the next few days.

(Hotel) Room with a view.
Back in May last year I was in Inverness to work at Alpkit Inverness. I really like the place, and even the wet views across the rooftops.

Landing. I waited some time for the pigeon to fly off. What I wasn't expecting was another pigeon to land.

Soar.

I spent time sitting in our bedroom looking out of the window as the sun made its descent. This is the first of two shots that I really liked. Of course I could have cleaned it up to remove the chimney but they were there and there's actually a pigeon nesting if you look closely.

The Commute.
Well, birds flying, but it is the morning. Another shot from the front garden looking down the road. Early mornings always offer something interesting.

Failing Light. I'm a fan of the intensity of the evening (or morning) light on leaves and the endless variations and beauty of trees.

Misty Mooring.
A wander along the River Thames locally during this cold spell. The usual clutter hidden.
