There exists a combination of different themes within the pieces of media chosen for the readings this past week. One of them that caught my eye was the journey of womanhood, especially for Black women and how their different appearances take control of their experiences through life.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think about the questions that are being posed is what does it mean to be black. When we think of people like Rachel Dolezal or Jessica Krug, they are attempting to impersonate what society stereotypically says is Black. And that in itself is super harmful.
