one thing I noticed about the IDW comics is that Metal Sonic usually isn't fighting only Sonic, but Sonic's friends as well. Metal Sonic is always tag-teamed and that especially sucks when you realize Metal Sonic has four potential allies to fight with.

- and Sonic, Metal, and Eggman all beat Surge's ass or whatever. It also makes sense design-wise, as the Phantom Rider honestly has more in common with Metal than Sonic. The red eyes, dark colors, and big, pointed spine on the back of the head. His blue being darker is very noticeable. -
