For all the horrible things that are/will happen in these next 3 years, I am convinced that a multitude of positive progress will be made in opposition. Why? Because history tells me this is so. My question is, why must we always have to have our backs against the wall before we act w/power?

We act as if the rich manipulating the poor to do what is against the poors' best interest is new. It is not, they did it to get poor whites to go along with slavery which didn't benefit them other than being able to be "white".

It is not shocking that Trump has become president twice. It is shocking that we, Americans, have so been dumb down and vapid with celebrity, materialism, and disdain that we have abandoned our humanity for tribalism. It has become more important to defeat than unify, galvanize for the common good.

It does not matter what strategies we concoct if they include othering those who do not think as we do absolutely. Unless we understand one another, we will continue to create chasms where bridges could be built. We cannot all just get along, but we can form alliances with honest brokers.

We must remember that Donald Trump is a tool of the omnipresent Domination System that has corrupted the powers created to care for the people of the world into predatory conglomerates of the rich and power-hungry. We cannot keep allowing them to divide us. Let's stop giving them the power!
