West Coast Railways Class 47s also used for this tour, 47848 was on the rear of the train and 47746 took over from 45212 for the Peterborough to London Kings Cross leg. #WestCoastRailways #Class47
West Coast Railways maroon 47848 on the rear of the train in platform 1 at Peterborough. The rest of the train can be seen, most formed of blue and grey British Rail Mark 2 coaches. West Coast Railways maroon 47746 on the front of the train ready to continue the journey to Kings Cross. On the body side is 47746’s nameplate reading “Chris Fudge 29.7.70 - 22.6.10” in silver text on a black background. On the left edge of the image is the first coach which is a blue and grey British Rail Mark 2. The door identifies this as a first class coach with a 1 in the centre of the blue part of the door.

Maybe, the door does look a bit bent towards the bottom so it might have been heading to Northam for repair
