Our (South Africa) constitution doesn’t allow convicts to be elected to parliament or as president. Suspect the drafters were less trusting.

Reminds me of all the white South Africans claiming they can’t get jobs because of their skin colour while white unemployment in South Africa is lower than in Europe and our overall unemployment is over 35%.

He got less than half the popular vote in 2024 though more than Kamala. Lots of countries have run offs when the leader is below 50%. Perhaps the US should try that.
