Hi Rob, I attended the Metcalfe Fair on Thursday and Sunday, and I made a statement in the House of Commons celebrating our rural fairs. Sorry I didn’t see you.

Today in the House of Commons: A tribute to farmers and rural agricultural fairs in Carleton and West Carleton. Thank you to everyone who puts food on our tables, and community in our fairs.

Had the opportunity to visit local business Mad About Patchwork’s remarkable Quilt Path in Stittsville this morning. My mother was a quilter, so this event was good for my soul, as I’m sure it was for others too.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone from Rural Ottawa South Support Services, fondly known as ROSSS, for your lovely afternoon tea in Greely today. Thank you also to the sponsors and everyone who generously supported ROSSS’s important work for rural seniors and adults with special needs.

Does that horse have the same security clearance level as Pierre?

I attended the Watson’s Mill Town Hall today. It was great to see a full mill of concerned residents committed to the future of historic Dickinson Square. Always a pleasure to see former Member of Parliament, local historian and friend, Bill Tupper.

I'm very pleased that a tentative agreement has been reached with ATU 279. Our OC Transpo employees have been doing great work to overcome past challenges and build a better public transit system for the whole community.

I’ll be reaching out to the Muslim community in the coming days to support, listen, and help. And I’ll do the same for any community targeted with hate, because hate is the cause of many of the world’s worst problems, and the solution of none.

I’m shocked and saddened that a vandal defaced property of the Stittsville Muslim Association with hateful graffiti. Hate, of any kind, has no place in our community. We are all neighbours, and neighbours look out for each other. …2

The government isn’t gutting services. We’re making difficult choices in response to the current economic environment, and creating conditions for Canadians to thrive going forward. Canadians are served by the whole government, not just one department.

It could’ve been. It was an old Massey Ferguson.

It’s always a privilege to take part in the Ottawa-Carleton Plowing Match, and honour the proud history of farming in Canada. This year’s event was hosted by Robert and Allan Walsh Farms in Navan. Thank you to the Walsh family, and all the volunteers who make this great community event happen.

Just finished 2 productive days with Ontario caucus in Windsor. In addition to planning for the coming year, we visited the near-complete Gordie Howe International Bridge, Nature Fresh Farms, Nextstar Energy EV battery plant, and Unifor Local 444. Lots of great conversations and ideas shared.

Perfect way to beat the summer heat—paddling on the Rideau Canal! I had a great time with @brucefanjoy.bsky.social in his beautiful community of Carleton 🛶

Don’t miss out—the Canada Strong Pass gives you free entry to historic sites and free lockage on the Rideau Canal until Sept 2!

The Pride flag is raised in Stittsville! It was great to be joined by Councillors Glen Gower, Ariel Troster, Clarke Kelly, MPs Jenna Sudds and Bruce Fanjoy. It is really important that we protect the rights and freedoms of 2SLGBTQQIA+ residents—not just this week, but every day.

I visited STEM Camp in Stittsville today —one of over 50 STEM Camps across Canada. The not-for-profit organization was founded by Kevin Cougler in 2012 to create a fun environment for children to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math.

"solar and batteries are both getting cheaper so consistently and so quickly that it is literally difficult to keep up. Even energy professionals have trouble keeping up"

Let's ride this curve!

Like many parts of Canada, we needed rain in Carleton. So this was a welcome sight today.

Hoping for the same, where needed, across the country and around the world.
