Don't get me started on bisexual, androgynous heartthrob Pierre Clémenti, BOTD in 1942, died in 1999 at 57. The louche, sexually ambiguous, carnal Clémenti worked with so many great auteurs, including Bunuel, Bertolucci, Pasolini, Garel, Cavani, Costa-Gavras, Rivette, and Ivory

Sexbomb Brigitte Bardot was BOTD in 1934, turning 91 today. I know, I know, she ended up an extreme right wing racist homophobic hag, albeit an animal activist. She still made some great movies, especially Godard's "Contempt" (Le Mepris) (1963), which is one of my fave JLG movies

Ambiguously gay punk legend and Germs frontman Darby Crash was BOTD in 1958 and died of an intentional overdose of heroin in 1980 at the tender age of 22. John Lennon's assassination the following day upstaged his death, relegating him to the punk bin of history.

HBD refreshingly cerebral actress Mary Beth Hurt, BOTD in 1945, turning 79 today. Although she has been in numerous notable films, she'll always be Joey in Woody Allen's "Interiors" (1978) to me as it remains one of my all time top 10 fave films, maybe because I have 3 sisters!
