The NHS staff have got a 28.9% pay rise in the last 3 years, more than anyone else in the public sector. Wes Streeting refuses to apologise for being too awesome.

If we confiscated the wealth of all billionaires, it would only raise enough money to fund the government for 7 months.

“Tax the rich” is not a good idea.

Not even Arab states will accept Palestinian refugees. Why do you think that is? And why should we, a country thousands of miles from the conflict zone, have to do so?

- Employment Rights Bill
- Making employers pay more in tax
- Making it easier to strike
- Banning no-fault evictions

Soooo right-wing right?
November 17, 2025 at 6:05 PM
I would say: the voters have the right to decide how many asylum seekers they want to take. The voters don’t get to choose whether to live in a state, they are coerced into paying taxes, following laws, etc… if the state doesn’t do what the voters want, it is illegitimate and more like a cartel.

CORRECT! finally someone reasonable on this site!

That's not true. Supposing the Nazis did one left-wing policy. Would they cease to be a far-right fascist government? Of course not!
November 17, 2025 at 5:47 PM
What does that mean??

I’m not a bot, on god
November 17, 2025 at 3:38 PM
Not a bot 🤞

Just because people need help doesn’t mean we have a moral obligation to help them.

Do you have a moral obligation to let homeless people live in your house?
November 17, 2025 at 2:10 PM
That does not make sense.
November 17, 2025 at 2:08 PM
That would not be possible. We do not have the infrastructure to support that many people.

I’m all for a multicultural society, but be realistic please.
November 17, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Based on the CURRENT system, sure. Mahmood wants to remove the statutory duty to provide asylum.

Keep in mind we‘ve only had that statutory duty since 2005. Also, it was an EU law, it didn’t originate in Britain.

Here is the data, it comes from YouGov polling

yougov.co.uk/topics/polit...

What do YOU think is the maximum level of immigration per year? 1 million? 2 million? More?
Do Brits think that immigration has been too high or low in the last 10 years?
Generally speaking, do you think the level of immigration into Britain over the last ten years has been too high, too low or about right?

I think you are so off the mark. I think if we put your ideas to a ballot, the British public would overwhelmingly reject them.

71% of people think immigration is too high. Only 4% think it’s too low.
November 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Yes, exactly! People’s misconceptions about how good life in the UK will be, “streets are paved with gold” etc, are probably rooted in the Empire days.
November 17, 2025 at 11:11 AM
Shabana Mahmood is doing the RIGHT thing. We have GOT to shut down asylum routes that people are overusing to come to the UK. These routes are smack in the face to not just British people, but also every single immigrant who came here the right way.

Mahmood should keep going, voters take note 💪
November 17, 2025 at 11:10 AM
It’s the policy of the CENTRE-LEFT government in Denmark, actually. All possessions are confiscated. 👍

- These people have MISCONCEPTIONS about how good life in the UK would be, many would be better off in their home country

- They have passed through MULTIPLE safe countries. We need a deterrent.
November 17, 2025 at 11:07 AM
This is the policy of the LEFT-WING government in Denmark. Also, they make all asylum seekers do a Danish-language proficiency test.

I’m all for it!
November 17, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Mahmood is right though. We CAN’T continue to have the number of refugees and asylum seekers we’ve been seeing, we CAN’T sustain it indefinitely.
November 17, 2025 at 11:04 AM
And so is the A.I. industry!
