As an old man taking Phil 101 on any stolen breaks from my real job providing care for my disabled daughter, I kept perseverating, "reasonable!?". Most people I'd ever met, including myself, are rarely reasonable. 1A has changed because millions think bad-faith arguments are reasonable.

Efficiency is not a synonym for illegal.
Is it more efficient to rob a bank than work smart and be frugal? Is it more efficient to do SA instead of being a decent person and courting someone? I'd argue illegality causes greater harm and is the opposite of efficient.
