rec of the day: KENJI KARIU "rain/water" (bruit direct LP) a soft & strange album of pop that is lightly but thoroughly twisted. like tori kudo or brazil's masters of early '70s freakery, this has a sophisto surface & a bizarre underbelly. sweet stuff.
