I think I paid $8 for a water bottle at MGM Grand. I was there while they were setting up for the Grand Prix, an unsubtle microcosm of the now-playground for the rich. Off the strip I liked the town, found some of the best dive bars I’d ever been to, makes sense for a service industry town!
