I read your post on scientific gatekeeping, it was really insightful! I feel like another aspect to gatekeeping might be insecurity. By using jargon, scientists can sound smart and not have to explain things. But real intelligence lies in good explanation!

And causal claims are made from correlations as well. I definitely feel like the desire to sensationalize has made good science communication more difficult. But we can try to break through the noise!
