Relaxing.
I’m so fucking predictable.

It seems I’ve heard my mum’s voice for the last time.

My hot political take is that all this moral panic about Reeves is a) a load of old partisan bollocks, and b) indicative of how truly infantile our political and economic system is.

OUP going a bit meta with their word (phrase) of the year.

Trying to work out where will be hot enough but not stupidly so next summer, and not full of arseholes.

"Speaking outside his chateau in France" is a lovely touch in this story. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Slightly unfair to find this as funny as I do. But not very.

I wonder if Reeves is looking at the papers and realising maybe she should have gone for the sheep after all.

I have a cold which has made the tip of my nose red, like a beano character or something.
November 26, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Apparently using the word ‘narcissist’ is ableist, if I’ve just read a bluesky thread right. Which is almost funny.

Don’t know why Badenoch is worried about people losing their salary. At that point they’re probably eligible for benefits and so have become someone else for her to hate, so you’d think she‘d be happy.

When I mentioned in email to my blue Labour arsehole of an MP about university redundancies (wasnt the central point of my email) he said something snide about him not seeing things from an ivory tower.
November 24, 2025 at 6:37 AM
People say Glasman has no influence, but fucking over universities was one of his objectives. Because education’s for toffs, or something.

Telegraph front page on the Covid enquiry is quite the take.

Trying to get through to NHS number down south. Apart from the number they told me to call asap not working, the most annoying thing is that the recorded message pronounces 'Herts' as 'Hertz'. Worse than LNER not being able to pronounce Alnmouth.

Maybe it's one of those 'leak something fucking stupid so the pragmatic action is more palatable' strategies. Or maybe it's just the PM and chancellor are fucking idiots. Who's to say.

Is there rhetorical jargon for making a perfectly valid point in such a twatty way it makes everyone disagree with you?

Starmer‘s ‘I‘m not being deposed’ t-shirt seems to be raising a lot of questions.

I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone with a 5 bedroom house.
I can only assume that most of your friends bought their London home a long time ago. A family home starts at 5 beds I reckon. 3 kids rooms + an office + a parents room. The cheapest such house currently for sale in eg Vauxhall, hardly an up market area is £1.1m. And the vast majority are over £2m.

Slightly surprised that the Lady of Shallot’s name was Elaine.

Too much to hope for that the BBC takes the Arkell vs Pressdram approach?
