Any tips for making #sourdough more aesthetic? The flavor and texture is great, but scoring could use some work. It seems like the loaf expands a lot while baking

I left the dough in the fridge overnight. Is cold proofing letting it rest in the fridge after the loaves have been formed immediately prior to baking?

This week's batch of #sourdough. I learned how to properly tension the dough for better scoring. The flavor, however, is lacking for some reason.

My second batch turned out nicely. I added more flour to my banneton this time, and the surface of the bread was much easier to score. Can't wait to cut into it! #sourdough

Loaf 2 came out a little nicer. The first loaf is a little gummy inside. I wonder if the dutch oven hadn't fully preheated for the first loaf. #sourdough

My first #sourdough! Any tips for scoring the loaf to make it look more artistic? I scored a feather shape in the top, but you can't really tell after baking.
