Any available January targets for a Moyes-y FB?

Chances we'll see a back 3 w/Dwight?

Any reason Ndiaye won't go straight into the middle?

Anything that mitigates concerns about length of the contract?

What went wrong the last round at West Ham?

I may be the only Android/Google fanboy over there, but I appreciate the YouTube links! YT Music can load these up like a podcast these days.

Great two-parter last night! UTFT

Honestly feel it was a bit deeper. Look how differently servant leaders like Baines and Coleman speak of Everton than Dyche ever did. Even his "we" was "my coaching staff and I." I think the last year of Goodison deserves better! UTFT

Looking (and sounding) good in YouTube Music now, too!

And to make this Everton related, I believe SD may be 404 soon!

Fyi, YouTube link on the Linktree is broken for me (404). Not finding you on search there either yet.

Cheers, guys! Glad you're back today. Makes the gameday drive to the pub easier!

Over 3 hours later, here we are

gitlab.com/-/snippets/4...

That's User Data for a wget + dos2unix -> install script for python, pip3, and Ansible -> Ansible for everything else.

But docker hello-world is happy. On to the next adventure!

Trying not to overthink how to install dependencies.

Let's try this:

EC2 User Data installs Ansible
Ansible installs the rest

I have an EC2, now to install more dependencies.

As usual, the dev environment setup takes the most time 😅

I'm back to it today. It looks like I have a "common but frustrating" setup due to work policies that keeps Docker from being able to pull images ... or something like that.

So I'll fall back to connecting VS Code -> EC2 for some development, and let's see how that goes.

I also want to learn more about the safety of using my data in FMs. I read about Bedrock's architecture for "brokering" with FM providers to limit what is shared. Is that good enough for some use cases?

When do I have to start doing local horsepower for queries?
December 26, 2024 at 3:01 AM
Jotting down a couple of ideas from today:

- Have an assistant generate me a long-form introduction to a topic that I can then converse and "riff" from to learn more.

- Have an otherwise unmodified FM generate me a Python script for generating a Word or PPT doc

It definitely needs work in some areas like the questions game and tendency to have awkward pauses. But it still feels like an "order of magnitude" level of productivity hack for starters. I felt like I was listening to a more interactive form of podcast

I played with this a bit more before banging my head against the wall over some wsl configs today 😥

Still ridiculously inspired by the building blocks I'm seeing and understanding for GenAI!

These are more like it.

- Understanding typical flows for RAG on AWS Bedrock, community.aws/content/2bi5...

- Creating Agents with AWS Bedrock github.com/build-on-aws...

- Using Bedrock Knowledge Bases for RAG github.com/build-on-aws...

I think I "get" how this tutorial was supposed to work, but I'd rather do something a bit more narrow. Cleaning up resources for a bit of a reset now.

Apparently there is more undocumented magic in these notebooks not mentioned in the sample repo. These are some kind of Sagemaker notebooks, storing values and retrieving, executing code in the shell, etc. that I'm having to hack around.

Will spend a bit trying to sort it.

As usual, a good night's rest leads to a quick resolution 😅

get_execution_role can create a default role if asked, though this behavior is off by default.
