I often think about owning one of these 5-15 unit apartment complexes, but at this point in my life I don't want to take on everything that comes with them.

I was shocked to see it's less than 1,500 sqft.

If your gas grill stops working, try replacing the gas line before buying a whole new grill. Replacement lines are cheap and can be switched out easily and quickly.

I just googled Capital One savings account interest rate and they're currently offering 3.80% APR.
The best rate I have is with Fidelity's money market account SPAXX which is usually about a half point higher than what the big banks are offering

It's important to know what a flipper paid for a house before making an offer on it. They have to recoup rehab cost, holding/traction cost like interest on loans, utilities, and realtor fees, and make a profit.

I've recently seen houses with wall corner beads becoming detached.
My assumption is they weren't installed right, moisture is getting into the walls, or the house is shifting.
Definitely something I'd want a good home inspector to look at.

Sure, our property taxes may have doubled in Mebane NC, but at least we got blue street signs with an artsy flower instead of the standard green ones
