We have packed a ton into this paper, so please enjoy and reach out with any questions!
A HUGE thank you to all the collaborators and funding sources for making this happen!

We also demonstrate that both intrinsic and extrinsic effects contribute to informating HSCs to take this pathway, and that MkPs generated via this path uniquely possess a survival advantage!

Here, we add to and clarify a number of new findings in the world of #megakaryopoiesis at steady-state and during aging, including officially revealing the ability to identify HSC-direct, age-dependent MkPs without the need of a lineage tracing model!

For an act to be evil, does it have to be intentional? Or can (willful?) ignorance that results in a harmful act still be considered evil?

So, spam/predatory/scam messages for papers, conferences, speaking engagements, etc. are pretty common, but today I finally got the one I've always wanted! The good 'ol 'Dear Dr. FirstName'

As federal funding for research is uncertain, we need to diversify funding sources for our PhD students.

Here is a comprehensive list of >160 PhD fellowships and funding opportunities, mostly from private foundations and scientific societies.

#Pubmed problem fix?

Resetting DNS to Cloudfare 1.1.1.1 worked

I could use Pubmed on phone but not computer, but fixed Mac by:

settings > network > details > DNS > press “+” and type 1.1.1.1

🎉

Woke up to an email from the #NIH saying that my K22 Summary Statement was available! Super exciting! To my dismay, the NIH websites (nearly ALL of them) have been down all day. Not normal. Others see the same, with no reason given. Hopefully nothing important, but given everything...not too hopeful

Just in time for #ASH24, our latest paper is out. We performed scRNA-seq on HSPCs over human development, maturation, and postnatal aging. We looked at dynamics of HSPC subsets, lineage biases, HSC level priming, and identified a developmentally restricted human HSC.
