The insanity of Signalgate has done a number on my mental and emotional health. I am left with one question: is it really possible for humans to be THIS evil AND THIS stupid in such absolutely equal proportions? Has such a feat ever been achieved before? Or has it been reserved for this our time?

Reading a biography of Bonhoeffer right now. The historical parallels make it equal parts terrifying and strangely heartening. The ones who are “in it” for Jesus will always have a clarity the ones in it for social identity never will. But man I hate it when history repeats itself.

A reminder - don't use Amazon, but go to bookshops, which play a far more vital role in promoting literacy just by simply making books more visible, and allow you to find things by chance rather than by what the algorithm decides.
