i like how mario kart lets the battle mode be secondary to the racing. i don't want this game to ever feel like a shooter with the abilities you get, so ideally every combat ability will have a movement application! though i might need to add z-targeting so players could actually aim their items

i originally was planning on making this character controller for just a little multiplayer sandbox game, but the mechanics are coming together in what feels like could be a really fun 3d platformer racing game!

i've been modeling lots of little beans and decided i want to make some kind of multiplayer game w them. this is my first time making a character controller with a full node based state machine, and it lends itself super well to networking since i can get away with a lot with jus syncing the state!

this is so cool to see coming along! I've used spatial gardener for multimesh+node scattering before, but it's cool to see a tool like this coming along that has a much less overwhelming UI!

that's awesome, i hope you have fun with it! it's a lot to learn for sure, but for every feature, there's always gonna be at least a dozen ways to go about it, but that's a big part of the fun for me, feels like so much freedom to make something unique : )

I started working on this game after only about a year of learning Godot, and now that it's been in development for over a year, I've learned so so much from working at it and other game projects, but I had also made the original version of this game impossible to finish because of my bad coding lol

now the game is way more controller friendly with mouse+keyboard being the secondary focus for controls, I'm focusing a lot more on circular menus and letting the UI disappear from the screen when the player isn't interacting with it, and in general the game logic is a lot cleaner!
