I love democracy and dogs
I’m surprised that all the recent trauma experienced by this great city, including the fires and the presence of ICE hasn’t yielded a stronger list of candidates. I haven’t been following it that closely, but thought Bass would be more vulnerable in this election.

It is curious that the researchers did not identify a 4th possible reason for early talent to fall behind late bloomers. Those lauded early for their talent often do not experience failure and thus do not develop the skills of grit and self-motivation needed to sustain their effort.

My two Eagle Scout sons had a co-ed troop that was nothing less than fabulous. Learning to be a leader, to care for your community and each other, to serve your country in small ways is not the exclusive domain of one sex or the other.

Perhaps, instead of conflicted a better word is crestfallen. As in, I am crestfallen that we do not have better choices for candidates to defeat Collins. But, if I lived in Maine and my choices were Mills or Platner, I would have no choice, but to choose Mills. We deserve better than both of them.

Basically, yes

Still conflicted about Platner, but Dems do not need to be carbon copies of one another. The common thread for success last night was running candidates who were authentic, passionate, anti-Trump, and spoke the language of their constituency

What would happen if importers refused to pay? Aside from demurrage storage fees (which are not incidental) it wouldn’t take more than a few days to grind the ports to a halt

Why can’t “this stuff” be achieved legally through the legislative process? They control both houses. If “this stuff” is so great, let each member vote on it and defend it to their constituents
